What Is Encryption Domain

Jun 14, 2019 1:54:52 PM / by Dan

Encryption domain is simply a set of computers or other computing devices (or even people :) ) who share encryption key(s) allowing them to trust each other.

It can be a master authentication key which can easily verify identities of entities within the encryption domain. Or it can be an encryption key, which allows access to encrypted data or communication.

The point of encryption domains is to create an environment where all entities within an encryption domain can automatically verify each other or share access to and create encrypted assets which can be accessed with the knowledge of “domain encryption key”.
